Grenada National Insurance System (NIS) Delegation Conducts Mission to Anguilla to Assess New Social Insurance Administration System (SIAS)

The Anguilla Social Security Board recently hosted a specialized four-person team from The Grenada National Insurance System (NIS). The team was here to evaluate the novel Multi-Benefit Solutions (MBS) digital e-services platform. The MBS is a Social Insurance Administration System (SIAS) developed by Bearing Point Caribbean for the Anguilla Social Security Board (ASSB). The visit aimed to explore the functionalities and viability of ASSB's system as a potential model for modernizing Grenada's digital infrastructure.

The Grenada NIS delegation, consisting of Mrs. Cindian St. Bernard - Deputy Director, Mrs. Kalisha Isaac-Dottin - Accounts Clerk, Mrs. Franca Bell - Compliance Manager, and Mr. Ritch Frederick - Network Administrator, arrived in Anguilla on Monday, 20th November, embarking on a comprehensive mission that culminated on Friday, 24th November. A series of meetings were conducted over three intensive days from 21st to 23rd November. The team engaged extensively with various departments within the ASSB, receiving detailed presentations and demonstrations that showcased the capabilities and operations of the MBS Platform. These sessions allowed the Grenada NIS contingent to gain firsthand insights into the features, functionalities, and user interface of the MBS Platform and its integration into the ASSB's operational framework.

The Grenada NIS delegation expressed gratitude to the ASSB for their warm welcome and hospitality, transparent exchange of information, and the collaborative spirit exhibited during the mission. In summation, Mrs. Cindian St. Bernard, Deputy Director and leader of the Grenada NIS team, stated: - "This mission was pivotal for us to assess the capabilities and suitability of the ASSB's new system in alignment with our goals for a robust and efficient digital platform."

The mission evaluated the system's adaptability to Grenada NIS's operational requirements, security protocols, and overall user experience. The aim was to gather comprehensive information and insights to aid in making an informed decision regarding potential investments in a new digital infrastructure for Grenada NIS.

Mr. Romero Kelsick, MIS and MBS Project Manager, stated:- "We are confident that the knowledge transfer and in-depth engagement with the ASSB's system will empower NIS Grenada to make informed decisions as they chart their course for digital transformation."

Following this fact-finding mission, the Grenada NIS team is poised to adopt key recommendations and insights from their experience in Anguilla. These recommendations are anticipated to play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the upcoming digital transformation project for Grenada NIS. The ASSB stands to benefit economically and strategically if Grenada decides to join the ASSB and contract with Bearing Point Caribbean for the MBS digital e-services platform.
